Cape Town

We left for Cape Town on Friday and after a few stops along the way we made it to Riviersonderend. A town that is about 1 1/2 hrs from Cape Town. Sasha was ready for it to end!

We checked into the hotel and walked over to the park across the street. Here you can see Table Mountain.

With the kids...

While the work here has been a lot of fun, I definitely missed interacting with students. Luckily I had some chances to do that as well and it really is exciting to see so many young kids interested in science & technology. Here are just a few snapshots of those moments....

This week we hosted industrial engineering students from University of Pretoria and I gave a presentation about our unit and the work we do for industry. They were very interested and asked great questions. I also had the chance last week to give a 2 day lecture at WITS University and it was great being back in the classroom.

Here I am giving a tour to kids from Osizweni High School. I was telling them about the wonders of additive manufacturing :)

A few months ago I travelled to Bethlehem in the Free State, I blogged about the trip. So here I am with some of the kids from Science FEST. That was a great experience as well.
